The Granger D18 "DragonFly" valve amplifier produces 18 watts of pure boutique tone in a highly stylized package. It is as pleasing to the eye as it is to the ears. When you recall the vintage era tone of such British classics like the AC15 and 1974 circuits, you get an idea of what the amp was designed for. Simplicity at its finest! Tone that goes from crystal-clear cleans to dirty, gritty, raunchy crunch. The D18 is highly touch responsive as well, and sounds great no matter what guitar or pickup configuration is used.
The D18 DragonFly features High and Low impedance inputs. The controls are simple - Volume, Tone, and Master Volume, but are very interactive. There's also a "Zap" switch" that switches between a "fat boost" and a slight low frequency cut/gain increase. The preamp consists of 2 ECC83S valves and power is rectified by a GZ34/5AR4 rectifier valve. The power section runs on two EL84s which produces 18 watts. The DragonFly is cathode biased and very low maintenance.
