The TBFX Loop is true-bypass, full-featured, buffered effects loop. Designed by Skip Menicos of SkipzCircuits, TBFX is made and assembled in the USA. The ultra quiet design is based on a JFET opamp circuit. True bypassing is done via a hardwired, push-on, push-off switch, so there are no active components in the amp's signal path when the TBFX is bypassed. It features Input Level, Output Level, and Wet/Dry Mix controls. The Input and Output Level controls facilitate the use of many different devices, at both instrument and line levels. The Mix control mixes the normal signal and effected signal, which allows the loop to be used as either series or parallel. It is powered by a regulated power supply, which supplies a fixed voltage to the opamp circuitry, so there is negligible effect on tone when the unit is engaged. This is by far one of the best-sounding and versatile effects loops available.
As an alternative we also offer a lower-cost, passive effects loop as an add-on for several of our amps. This loop is a simple non-buffered, Send & Return jack configuration, and is useful when the user already has an effects unit that is multi-featured with variable/switchable send, return, and mix levels.
